A taster of the ‘waste not, want not’ style of living from days gone by



Rag Rugging in the Cholstrey Threshing Barn & Life in the Town House

Centuries ago, people would make use of resources in a ‘waste not, want not’ style of living. A rag rug is an excellent example of this philosophy. Have a go at rag rugging and learn the basic techniques as well as a little of the history of this creative craft.

The Town House is our oldest building. Learn about how lives were lived in this evocative environment of wood, fire and straw.

Adult – £8.80*
