Blacksmithing – The Forge Cottage & Rescuing the Nailer’s Cottage

Avoncroft is famed for its forges and the blacksmithing courses it offers. Try your hand at simple blacksmithing techniques and perhaps forge your own artefact at our newly refurbished Forge Cottage hearth.

Nailers were once an important part of the Bromsgrove community and we have now rescued a Nailer’s cottage and rebuilt it at Avoncroft Museum. Learn about the history of the cottage and the lives that played out there.

Adult – £8.80*

Senior – £7.70*

Student – £4.50

Tickets can be bought from the reception desk in the Museum Shop when you arrive. *The prices above include a voluntary gift aid amount; please gift aid your entrance fee if you are able, it helps us continue the valuable work at Avoncroft Museum.
