The Orpheus Quartet will play a mixture of well loved classics and popular music in a classical style. Formed of four students from Hereford the string quartet is made up of violin, viola and cello. The young musicians who perform in the quartet met whilst playing in the Herefordshire Youth Orchestra and some of them are going on to study music at University and Conservatoires in September.
The morning concert is being held as part of the regular coffee mornings at St Chad's Church in Rubery which aims to bring the community together. Revd Claire Turner from St Chad's Church said "We are really looking forward to welcoming these young musicians to St Chad's on Saturday morning. We are thrilled to be able to give them a platform to showcase their talent and are grateful to the Bromsgrove Festival for including the church as a venue for the Bite Sized series. I am sure that our regular coffee morning attendees will enjoy the music and hope that many others will attend too - our doors are open to all!"
